About Dore Dore
The House of Doré Doré is one of the oldest and most respected hosiery brands in France. Founded in 1819 by Jean-Baptiste Doré in the Champagne-Ardenne region. Doré Doré quickly gained recognition and success, winning the gold medal at the prestigious Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867 and boasting 1,700 employees by 1970. In 2003, Doré Doré changed nationality and became Italian following its acquisition by the Gallo Group, which is based near Brescia. Since 2012, all Doré Doré items have been made in Italy. Gallo retained the spirit and traditions of the brand while successfully adding Italian touches and flair that can be seen in the style and colors.
