After marrying her, he became proficient in barbering and decided to sell their products across the West, making him one of the original traveling salesmen. Col. Conk became a wealthy man for that time and continued the business until he died in 1898. Reborn In 1972, Colonel Conk built a worldwide reputation for their quality glycerine shave soaps, and over the years, they expanded to a full line of quality shaving products, flasks, and gift sets.
